I can’t believe this shit isn’t illegal. This isn’t just disgusting, it’s fraud. [source]
I don’t even have a gif or anything to say.
we need a moment of silence.
A moment of silence indeed.
I WILL FIND YOU SNOW
No. NO! They only just followed me, say it isn’t so!
Was talking about #WomenAgainstFeminism today on Twitter, a trend that I see largely as a reaction to (1) extremist feminist politics found readily online and (2) ignorance/stereotypes about feminism. I tried to handle my frustration with a bit humor but quickly realized this is actually a really emotionally-fraught topic for people. Maybe not the time for sarcasm.
In other words, you got your shit completely fucking wrecked by check-your-privilege-feminists and people like them, because you’re nothing but a hack, and promptly deleted your post so nobody would see.
Most the time, feminism in action doesn’t explicitly call itself feminism. I’m talking about things like campaigning for sex ed, same sex marriage, equal pay, maternity leave, reproductive health access, transgender health care, representation, implementing sexual assault/harassment policies, getting women into stem, etc.
Same sex marriage is an LGBT issue completely separate from Feminism. As is transgender health care.
Equal pay has already been achieved, and anyone who does any real research already knows this.
I think this confused void about what feminists *actually do and believe in* allows the space to be sensationalized by a loud, extreme minority and predatory media sources who see a “hot story”.
Mainstream onlookers who don’t know their history or what feminism is (and don’t take a second to learn…) naturally take the bait and then end up railing against something that isn’t even an accurate representation of feminism in the first place. Then feminists are pissed, and anti-feminists are pissed (though misogynists are usually quite happy) and we’ve whipped ourselves up a nice divisive shitstorm of “whose side are you on”?
Actually, it’s mainly just Feminists who are pissed. Anti-feminists just point out the hypocrisy of a movement that purports to be about “women’s right to choose”, belittling any woman who *chooses* to, well, not do what Feminism wants.
I understand it’s unpopular amongst some feminists to concede that extremism exists; “there’s nothing wrong with radical action” and “they’re a part of the movement too”! I think those are valid points (and I certainly don’t think the solution is to silence/disown anyone), but I also think we have to admit that it can really alienate people from the cause, and perhaps #WomenAgainstFeminism is proof. What do you think?
Those aren’t valid points at all. Extremism and radicals do nothing to help your cause, and allowing them to stay within the movement only leads to further harm. The solution *is* to disown them, because they are not practicing the kind of Feminism you claim to be for.
But I know your claim to be for equality is bull shit. That’s why you’re trying to justify keeping the radicals in the movement. You know they get shit done. You know that what they do benefits you, and you don’t care if it ends up harming men in the end or not, so long as you get to reap the benefits.
Because that’s all you are lacigreen. You’re just another run-of-the-mill feminist, with a tumblr blog, reaping the benefits of other people’s work.
so shut up you gun nuts, violent racist, and all who have sent me death threats
First off no one has sent you a death threat(you are a pretty poor liar, and have presented no evidence this has occurred, which…
Now that’s how you do a broken gif.
THIS IS FUCKING DEMONIC
I smell trouble brewing

Ken Ham is an embarrassment to himself and Christians everywhere.
No one hates these jackasses who open carry semi - auto rifles inappropriately then the gun community overall. The fact is most of us don’t like open carry even with pistols due to the fact it draws undue attention.
That being said there’s a right way to open carry if that’s the only legal way you can or for some other reason. See above.
I support the right to open carry, but even though I could, I choose not to. I believe that concealed carry gives me an advantage over open carry as I’m less likely to be targeted first, or be chosen for a sneak attack as a way for a criminal to obtain a gun.
Reasons I can see to open carry though.
1. Your gun is part of your work, such as in security.
2. You are at a gun related event, and want to display your gun as a conversation starter. (This would be when it’s ok to open carry long guns)
3. You are in the wildnerness such as hunting, fishing, hiking, and other activities where concealment is meaningless (again when long gun open carry is fine.)
4. You have a gun that is too difficult to conceal without significantly altering your dress for the season, such as a large framed revolver.
5. You believe the visible presence of your weapon can be a deterrent. This would be the other side of the coin from the advantage of concealed carry.
6. You’re on private property and the property owner is ok with it (or of course if it’s your property).
I don’t judge those who choose to open carry, this is just my reasoning. Personally I’d love to return to a level of acceptance of all people arming themselves, where anyone could openly carry a weapon without anyone thinking anything of it, but one must consider modern society. If you want to gain acceptance, shocking people isn’t the way. When you open carry, you’re an ambassador for gun owners everywhere, so respect private property, make sure the property owners are notified and ok with it, and make sure you won’t attract the wrong kind of attention.
i want to be as equal as a man NOT treated like one
You treat something that’s equal to something how you treat the thing it’s equal to or otherwise you treat it unequal to it because it’s not equal.
